قصة المسلسل:
نشاهد سقوط الدولة الأموية على يد المسودة العباسيين، بقيادة أبو مسلم الخراسانى (باسم ياخور)، و عمليات الإبادة التى كان يقوم بها العباسيون لجميع أمراء الدولة الأموية ليوطدوا أركان حكمهم. من هنا تبدأ رحلة عبد الرحمن الداخل (جمال سليمان) و خادمه بدر (محمد مفتاح) من الشام إلى الأندلس، لتعود دولة بنى أمية للازدهار فى المغرب بعد زوالها فى المشرق على يد العباسيين. و لكن توطيد أركان الملك تحت خلافة واحدة يتطلب الكثير من التضحيات على الصعيد الإنسانى، فما يفتأ الداخل يردد: "الملك عقيم".
